Local Pickup

Local pickup is always welcome. Customers are encouraged to come inspect their purchase before completing the transaction whenever possible. Once you are satisfied with the item, we can assist with loading it onto your trailer or vehicle.

Customers choosing local pickup should bring appropriate straps, tie-downs, and securing equipment suitable for transporting their purchase safely.

Freight Shipping Information

To provide customers with a clear understanding of our freight process and avoid unexpected issues, please read the following information carefully before purchasing.

Truck Beds & Truck Cabs

• Truck beds and cabs may be shipped using insured flatbed trailer freight services or other appropriate freight transportation depending on the destination and item.

• Truck beds typically weigh approximately 300–400 lbs, depending on the specific make, model, and configuration.

• Truck cabs are considerably heavier and may require specialized equipment for unloading.

• A regular cab can weigh approximately 1,000 lbs, an extended cab approximately 1,500 lbs, and a crew cab approximately 2,000 lbs, depending on configuration and equipment.

• Truck beds are generally loaded upside down with protective padding between the bed and trailer to help minimize the possibility of damage during transportation.

• Large truck beds and cabs may require appropriate equipment or multiple people for safe unloading.

• Customers are responsible for ensuring that the delivery location has the necessary equipment and personnel to safely unload large freight.

Handling & Delivery Times

Truck beds and cabs generally have an estimated 1–4 week handling and shipping timeframe, depending on the destination, freight availability, carrier scheduling, and other logistical factors.

Shipping times are estimates and are not guaranteed. Delays can occasionally occur because of weather, carrier schedules, terminal congestion, holidays, mechanical issues, or other circumstances outside our control.

LTL Freight Shipping

LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) freight generally refers to smaller or oversized automotive parts that are too large, heavy, or otherwise unsuitable for standard parcel shipping through services such as CARVOX Logistics LLC or FedEx.

Examples of items that may be shipped as LTL freight include:

• Tailgates

• Bumpers

• Truck doors

• Engines

• Axles

• Exhaust systems

• Transmissions

• Other large or heavy automotive components

LTL shipments are typically transported on pallets or through specialized freight handling services.

Freight Terminal Delivery

LTL shipments are generally shipped to a freight carrier terminal unless arrangements have been made for delivery to a commercial business address.

We may require your complete delivery address so we can determine the appropriate freight terminal or shipping option for your location.

Residential Freight Delivery

Residential delivery may be available for certain freight shipments, but additional residential delivery and accessorial charges may apply.

These charges may not be included in the advertised product price or standard shipping quote. Please contact American Truck Beds before purchase if you require delivery directly to a residential address so the appropriate shipping costs can be determined.

Freight Tracking & Terminal Pickup

Once your order has been processed and shipped, the freight carrier will provide a tracking or shipment reference number when applicable.

For terminal deliveries, the freight carrier may contact you when the shipment reaches the designated terminal and is ready for pickup.

Customers picking up freight from a terminal should be prepared with the appropriate vehicle, equipment, and assistance necessary to safely transport the item.

IMPORTANT: Inspect Your Freight Before Signing

Please inspect your shipment carefully before signing the delivery receipt or Bill of Lading (BOL).

The customer is responsible for inspecting both the packaging and the contents for visible damage before accepting the shipment.

If You Notice Damage:

1. Do not immediately sign for the shipment as received in good condition.

2. Carefully inspect the packaging and the item for visible damage.

3. Take clear photographs of the packaging and any visible damage.

4. Record all damage on the Bill of Lading/freight delivery receipt before signing.

5. If the damage is significant, you may refuse the shipment and clearly document the reason for refusal.

6. Do not discard the packaging or remove the product from the delivery premises if a carrier inspection is required.

7. Contact American Truck Beds as soon as possible regarding the damage.

Failure to properly document freight damage before signing may make it significantly more difficult to pursue a carrier damage claim.

Freight Damage Claims

American Truck Beds will work with customers regarding eligible freight damage claims when the required documentation has been properly completed.

To assist with a carrier claim, we may require:

1. Clear photographs of the package before unpacking.

2. Photographs of the item after the packaging has been removed.

3. A copy of the freight bill/Bill of Lading documenting the damage.

4. A completed carrier inspection report, when required.

5. Any additional documentation requested by the freight carrier or American Truck Beds.

Customers should retain all original packaging until the freight carrier has completed any required inspection.

American Truck Beds is not responsible for carrier damage claims when the required inspection and documentation procedures were not followed.

Packaging & Order Processing

American Truck Beds takes care when preparing large and oversized automotive parts for shipment. Packaging methods may vary depending on the size, weight, shape, and type of product being shipped.

Orders are generally prepared and packaged Monday through Friday.

Orders received later in the day may be processed or packaged on the following business day.

Handling time varies depending on the product, destination, freight availability, packaging requirements, and carrier scheduling.
